The teachers also hope the children will be able to guess who they are dressed as! :-)

New slide!

March 1st, 2009 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

We are really pleased with our new slide outside – it is great fun! We are enjoying finding lots of ways to slide down. Some of us have pretended to be rockets and wait at the top for 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, blast off before sliding down. We can’t wait to see what other things are going to change outside…

Let it snow!

March 1st, 2009 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

Just before half term we had great fun when it snowed really heavily. The flakes were huge and the children loved trying to catch them on their tongues or in their hands. There was enough to throw a snowball or two but sadly not enough to make a snowman!

Ho, Ho, Ho!

January 19th, 2009 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

If you haven’t already guessed the highlight of our party was a visit from the man himself. It was all very exciting from the moment we heard the bells on the reindeer and a big voice booming “Ho, ho, ho” as he appeared in nursery. Santa seemed very pleased to see us and we all convinced him we had been good boys and girls all year so that he would come to visit us at home. He was very kind and brought us present each. We were kind too and gave him a party cake and some carrots for the reindeer.

Better late than never!

Having finally found the cable for the camera I’ve found the pictures we took at our Christmas party – hurrah!

We had a fabulous time, wore our best party clothes, played games and had some yummy food. We wore masks too which we had decorated. I wonder if you can guess who is behind the masks?

Staff changes…

January 7th, 2009 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

Mrs Young has now gone on maternity leave so we would like to welcome Miss Emma Pimlatt to the team. She will be sharing sunflower group with Mrs Brighton.

Mrs Johnson will also be taking maternity leave from the February half term break so Miss Gemma Cranmer will be joining us at that time.

Keep watching the nursery windows for news about the patter of tiny feet!

Welcome back after the Christmas holidays. Here we are again ready for a busy term and waiting to say hello to all the new children that will be starting this week.

The children who were in nursery before the holidays are very excited about making lots of new friends and showing them what fun we have every day. We are sure they will settle quickly and hope they will be very happy. :-)

Toilet trouble…

October 20th, 2008 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

… also known as the bathroom blues! When we came back to school after the summer holidays we couldn’t start back at nursery. This was because of all the building work in our bathroom area – walls knocked down, ceiling changed, heating moved, new toilets, new sinks, new shower, new cupboards, new floor, etc. – which meant we couldn’t use the toilets and the area wasn’t safe.

However everything, well almost everything, is finished and we are really pleased to say our new blue room is brilliant! We have got so much more space to play and learn, and the push on and off taps are very entertaining! So thank you for bearing with us.

We hope you like the look of our new room as much as we do.

In the pink!

October 20th, 2008 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments

This Friday, 24th October, we are supporting Breast Cancer Care by coming to school wearing as much pink as we can – clothes, hair, nails, etc. and bringing a donation. If you are a bit shy we don’t mind if you wear red instead.

We’ve asked all the children and staff in school and the children’s centre to join in so we can hopefully make a difference and have a fun day.
