Thank you to all of you who have already helped your child to send things in for their special book. If you haven’t, don’t forget to send in photos, notes or pictures of what they have done at home to make their book even more special. Foundation Stage Nativity – Friday 4th December, 10.00 am and 2.00 pm
November 22nd, 2009 by nsouthparade in Uncategorized · No Comments
This will take place in the school hall. Tickets will be available from Monday 23rd November at a cost of 50p each which will go to a local charity. 2 tickets will be available per child because of limited space; some additional tickets may be available later. All the nursery children are to be stars. We’ll make the head-dresses but it would really help if they could wear a plain white t-shirt and dark coloured trousers or leggings. These can be left in nursery the week before in a named carrier bag ready for the performance, thank you.

Pink Day Success!

Last month we had an “In the Pink” day at school in aid of Breast Cancer. The children and staff wore pink, we made pink hats, we baked and decorated pink cakes and did lots of other pink themed activites to have lots of fun.
We raised £300 and Milly and her big brother Harvey presented the cheque to Mr Donaldson at the Pink Rose Suite at the hospital.
Well done everyone!

The children at nursery love telling us their news about what they have done at home, at the weekend or in the holidays.
So that we can add this news to their profiles we are asking if you can spend some time with your child helping them to write down something they have done over a weekend or if they have been somewhere after nursery. It doesn’t have to be lots of information, just a few words, a pictures or photograph.
Extra speech bubbles will be available from your child’s teacher or on the notice board for whenever your child wants to share some news!
If you have any questions please see your child’s teacher.
Happy news writing!

Sunflowers

We have been learning about how to grow plants in nursery. We have planted some sunflower seeds and they have started to grow!
Please can you help me to look after my plant at home? I need to keep it somewhere warm and sunny, and remember to give it some water when the soil gets a bit dry. When it has grown some more and the weather is warmer I can put it in a bigger pot or in the garden.
Mrs Jeffrey says we can find out who has grown the tallest sunflower by taking photos and measuring them as they grow!

We had a great time in nursery today. It was exciting seeing all of our friends dressed as people from stories. Can you guess who we are?
